Welcome To Art Dolls!

Jareth The Goblin King:
Though made back in 1986, "Labyrinth" today still has a large following of loyal fans. Most responsible for this long-term success is the main character, Jareth The Goblin King, played by singer, songwriter, and actor, David Bowie. The doll pictured here is one of two versions of Jareth.

My New Kai Doll

Talon examines Bigfoot trackKai, Last of the Brunnen G is my second creatiion of this famous Lexxian character (LEXX was a popular SciFi show just a few years back). This doll features a complete replica of his Brunnen G "assassin" outfit, primarily made from Chenille yarn in variegated color sewn to a thin cotton lining. Embellishments include hand dyed velvets and silks to match, with sterling silver beads. I also included his brace in great detail. For further details, and photos of Kai in the making, please vistit this special section of my site... Kai, Last of the Brunnen G

About My Fantasy Doll Art

I love fantasy stories, faerie lore, mythology, legends, folklore, magic, action adventure. Every time I make a doll, these are the sources I draw upon to express a story, to capture a moment in time, a fantasy character poised in an instant of exploring, considering, or being surprised by events that are about to occur. My husband said of my work, "She creates a tension in the design of her dolls that motivates the observer to speculate as to what the next action of the dolls might be, or what might have occured before to account for their present attitudes, precipitated by the capturing of a single, perfect moment."

As examples:
